Ithmar Saudi Appoints Sami Abu Al Ruz as Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Senior appointment strengthens Ithmar Saudi’s leadership team and supports the firm’s continued expansion across Saudi Arabia’s capital markets.
JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA — August 2026 — Ithmar Saudi Financial Consultancy Co. (“Ithmar Saudi”), a financial services firm licensed by the Capital Market Authority (“CMA”) to conduct Arranging activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sami Abu Al Ruz as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment represents an important step in Ithmar Saudi’s continued growth and reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its senior leadership capabilities as it expands its presence and activities in the Kingdom.
Mr. Abu Al Ruz brings more than 25 years of executive and investment experience across Saudi Arabia, the GCC and the wider MENA region, with extensive expertise in capital markets, investment strategy, corporate finance, real estate investment, and capital raising.
Throughout his career, he has held a number of senior executive and investment positions and has been involved in IPO readiness and capital-market transactions, Shariah-compliant financing and debt restructuring, as well as the structuring of CMA-regulated real estate investment funds.
Most recently, Mr. Abu Al Ruz served as General Manager – Investments at Al Jasser Holding Group (Arabian Oud), where his responsibilities included IPO readiness and capital-markets engagement in connection with the Group’s planned listing on the Saudi Exchange. He previously held senior investment positions, including Chief Investment Officer roles at HAKA Group and Ayyan Investments.

In his new role, Mr. Abu Al Ruz will work closely with Ithmar Saudi’s CEO and senior management team to support the firm’s growth strategy and further develop its CMA-licensed Arranging activities, including capital-market transactions, private placements, equity capital raising, and the structuring and arranging of debt and Sukuk financing.
The appointment comes as Ithmar Saudi continues to expand its presence in the Kingdom and position the firm to participate in the continued development and deepening of Saudi Arabia’s capital markets under Vision 2030.
Mr. Abu Al Ruz holds a Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) designation, is a Certified Investment Advisor (CIA) and holds a CMA Level 1 qualification. He also serves as an independent board member on two real estate investment funds managed by Malaz Capital.
